FENDI

For Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection contracted by Jones, chiffons are patched together with ruffled outer stitching into daywear with matching felt coats, worn with cropped furs. or ribbed top with pants. Bright orange gloves or handbags and a beach green background, offset the pastel tones.

Jones says he was inspired by two collections by the late Karl Lagerfeld that appeared to be stark contrasts on the surface: Spring-Summer 1986, featuring geometric patterns and seams, and sheer lightness. of Fall-Winter 2000.

BOTTEGA VENETA

Matthieu Blazy’s first collection for Bottega Veneta was the most anticipated show during Milan Fashion Week.

The collection by Matthieu was both technically brilliant and undeniably chic. From paper-thin nubuck shirts to thigh-high leather boots in the house’s signature intrecciato weave all as a single piece, the engineering is astonishing.

The designer goes for chic mini dresses as well as A-line leather skirts with leather fringe, the collection really turned heads and is definitely one of our top 5 best runway shows during MFW.

PRADA

Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented ‘An Ideology of Prada’ that presented riffs from the past combined with determination for innovation.

The past is always part of the now, the idea was to combine those two times and produce an attitude-driven strong collection.

Front laid-back tanks with intricately sequined skirts to aviator jackets and rich knits, the collection echoed both times loud and clear.

Prada makes our top 5 designers from Milan Fashion Week as it reminded us that one collection can stir up all emotions for the current youth and the past generations who can relate to each piece from the runway.

VERSACE

This collection was emphasized by the signature corset dressing of Versace. The corset could be seen on blazers, mini dresses as well as puffer jackets.

The corset was seen layered under puffed up jackets, as well as boxy blazers to replace the traditional T-shirt and add an edge to each look.

The return of the mini skirts as an ode to Gen Z’s current favorite, was seen all over the runway, in denim, raw-edge tweed, and gray flannel pinstripes.

We were also a huge fan of the latex leggings going tone on tone with the dresses and shoes of each look. The show did not fail to combine all these ideas into a perfectly balanced and hyped collection which is what makes Versace on our top 5 list.

ROBERTO CAVALLI

Designer Fausto Puglisi turned up a sexy yet elegant collection this Fall. The designer did not fail to show us sexy as per the label’s usual and signature m.o. but handled it with grace and elegance.

The Cavalli woman strutting down the runway looked comfortable and confident as well as gracious and feminine which is a balance many fail to achieve, however Puglisi seems to have nailed it!

This collection will definitely catch the eye of another young celebrity like Zendaya’s Spider-Man premiere dress and make it to the top dresses of the decade.

We personally loved this collection due to its subtle yet hard-to-miss sexy allure, which makes it our number five top designer from Milan Fashion Week 2022.
